Roger McCoy's PledgePage-Team In Training"Never Stop"
I have joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training to help raise money funds for research and patient aid. I will be training for the next several months for the Bayshore marathon (26.2 miles).
While great advances have been made in treating blod related cancers, leukemia is still the leading cancer killer of children between the ages of 1-14 years of age and the leading fatal cancers in young women and men under the age of 35. Their mission is to help find a cure for leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, and myelomia and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. My inspiration and honor hero is Clayton. Clayton is a five year old who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of three. Clayton ability to cope with cancer so well is due to his strong spirit and positive attitude. I have accepted two important challenges, to get in shape for a marathon and support the fight against leukemia and blood related cancer by raising $1500.00. I think both of these goals are worthy of my efforts and I hope you will help by being a sponsor. If there is a relative or friend you want to recognize through your donation, please let me know. I will pass this on to the Leukemia organization. They will include their name in their TNT Newsletter and various Team in training activities. The Honored Heroes or Memorial hero Families will receive a Team T-shirt after the marathon. I also would run the marathon in their honor and wear a bracelet with their name. Please include the person name with your donation. If you donate, please click on donation for more information. I'm positive we can make a difference for Clayton and other blood related cancer patience. Thank you so much for your time and contribution. |
